Our Nursing Home visit
Sunday, we visited a nursing home with our Sunday School class. It was a fun time, first we went and decorated tissue boxes all Christmassy and then we took them to the home and did a little show for them. Aaron and Ronnie played their cello and viola and Avery played the guitar. Jenna ran around looking cute. I think the people there really liked it and they always love the kids!!

Quick trip to Tulsa...
We went to Tulsa Friday night to see Glenn Beck in the "Christmas Sweater". We had a great time, Aaron and Ronnie went with us, and Avery and Jenna got to go to Kya's house and had a fabulous time. If you can, read the book, I highly recommend it, especially right now!!
Candy was nice enough to keep Avery and Jenna for us and we so appreciated her doing that. Jenna has been asking for her "sister Kya" and Avery has been asking for Candy ever since we left! Candy, as much as Avery LOVES Kya I think its YOU who has captured his heart!! :)) Thank you so much for keeping them and letting them have SO much fun at your house, I think all my kids would LOVE to stay at your house for a week, but I dont think I could talk them into coming back home!! As you can see there are NO pictures because of my camera being broke, but you can go to Candys blog and see some!! http://guateawonderfulworld.blogspot.com

Aaron's field trip to the Capital
Aarons class got to visit the capital last week to decorate a Christmas tree and to meet the Governor of our state, he was pretty nice, even if he is a democrat!! LOL. It was a really fun and we all had a great time. The bad news is my camera BROKE while we were there so my pictures are limited. Aaron has a great teacher who loves him so much, the neat thing is that she was also his pre-k teacher and then moved up to the third grade AND her son is one of Aarons very best friends! It was FREEZING that day!!

My little Super Hawk/sleep reader and pouter!!!
My little Avery got the Super Hawk award for October in his kindergarten class!! We are so proud of him! The Super Hawk is like student of the month.

This is Avery pouting because I made him wear this cute yellow sweater that used to be Aarons to church and he HATED that sweater!! I had to retire it after church, but he pouted the whole time he had it on!! He is usually not that picky, but he didnt like that sweater one bit, but SO many people said he looked nice that day...haha

this is my little precious sleeping angel! He said he was going to read and this is how I found him, so sweet, his two front teeth are loose and I am so sad about that! I SO dont want him to lose that little boy look!!! I am going to cry when those teeth come out!!!

Thanksgiving 2008
This year, we had a very low key Thanksgiving. We stayed home because Rod wanted to work on the room every possible second, except for the actual Thanksgiving Day, which he spent with us. He and I cooked a wonderful dinner, turkey, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, pumpkin and cherry pie, and a lot more! The kids were excited because we ate on our good plates and drank out of fancy glasses and we drank sparkling grape juice! It was so nice and we all said what we were thankful for and Aaron said a nice prayer for our meal. We are so blessed, I am so blessed and I love our family and that we can have a good time with just us and that is enough!! We gave Casper a plate of food too, which we never do, and he was very THANKFUL!!
The last pictures are from Avery's school Thanksgiving feasts. He had one at each of his two schools. The other kids didn't have one this year.
